My Morningside: A History of Morningside Heights Through Portraits

This creative project reflects, and expands on artist Alice Neel's concept of "pictures of people." I paint, and interview my subjects to attempt to use art as a form of historical documentation that emphasizes the voice and experience of the subject. Excerpts of the interviews are visible in the captions of the work.
